Hi, everyone! We were all touched by the tiny 2 lb Pixie Belle and her remarkable spirit despite a badly deformed leg and rough start to life
She recently went to 5th Avenue Vet Specialists to be evaluated for surgery to make it easier for her to get around without hauling a bent and useless leg. Unfortunately, preliminary bloodwork and tests revealed another even more serious health issue threatening this sweet girl.
It seems Pixie has a problem with her body's filtration system. An abnormal blood vessel is causing everything to bypass her liver and dumping toxins into her body.
There is a surgery that can repair the problem, and little Pixie can live a full and healthy life. The surgery will cost thousands of dollars, but we have decided we cannot give up on this little girl.
